It’s Recruiting Season! Are You Ready?
Continuing on in our “Recruiting Season” series today with Tip #3, I want to share a powerful process about your list of real estate professionals that you stay in touch with. By far, the step that most brokers (and agents, for that matter) skip is the qualifying part of having a vibrant database of business people or clients.
[box]Tip #3: Create a vibrant database[/box]
How do they become “vibrant” you ask? Once you have your distinguished list, (always include preferred service providers!) the next step is to write them a note and then make a call.
Introduce yourself (if you haven’t met). Let them know how much you appreciate the professionalism they bring to the industry. Always ask if you can stay in touch with fresh and relevant information on a regular basis to help them in their business.
Don’t make the mistake of keeping them on your list without asking—it is a waste of your time and resources. And remember, the goal isn’t to stalk them about joining your company; it’s about providing value and benefit.
Over time, your contact and care will show them how you operate as a business person and how you run your company as a leader. This opens the door to talking about the possibilities of working together down the road or even asking who they know who is seasoned or getting into real estate that needs a great environment with the level of training and support that you provide.
Believe it or not, that last question can generate a number of strong referrals each month. Try it—you may be surprised! Always Ask.
