From Russia to the ‘American Dream’
Olga Mintz, who was born in Uzbekistan (then part of Russia) never thought her life would turn out as it has.
“We didn’t really have a lot of money. I graduated from university but had trouble getting a job,” she said.
It was after a trip to California to visit her now-husband, she decided to move to the U.S.
“I had $400 with me,” she said.
“It was great, it was wonderful, but it just wasn’t where I wanted to be,” she recalled of those first years in the U.S.
“I had to do something to move, to have more, to give more opportunities to the people I love. When I got into real estate, that was my opportunity. I saw so many opportunities.”

Triumph After Devastation
Mary Dowling, an agent from Florida, had only been with Buffini Coaching for six weeks when her area was hit by a devastating Category 5 storm, Hurricane Ian.
“I couldn’t send out a mailer, I couldn’t make a phone call, I couldn’t send an email. I had no power, no internet, no computer. My house was flooded, my clients’ houses were ruined, my listings were taken off the market, my buyers didn’t want to buy here anymore,” she recalled. “The bottom fell out of everything that I had been working for.”
Her coach jumped into action, Mary said, encouraging her to film a video as soon as she could. She told Mary she would then distribute her video to her other coaching clients. Although she resisted at first, Mary then agreed, filming from her devastated backyard. In it, she asked for help, noting that not only did she need buyers willing to buy damaged properties, but she also needed sellers who wanted to leave the state.
“Out of that one video, I made three sales, and it just boosted my morale and helped me financially. It absolutely did,” Mary recalled. “It gave me the encouragement to keep going.”
“I was able, through the Buffini system, to give the gift of life back to people who were living in utter destruction. I was able to help them out of that while going through my own hardships and suffering. To me, that’s the epitome of ‘the good life.’ I was able to give back.”
