Break Out of the Rut Holding You Back in Real Estate Sector | Buffini

We all have days where we feel trapped in a routine — our own version of Groundhog Day. As a real estate agent, you may be feeling this way now. The market seems stalled, buyers and sellers are staying on the sidelines, and you may be questioning if you should indeed stay in the real estate business.

Feeling Stuck? You’re Not Alone!

The important thing to remember is everyone gets into a rut at one time or another. In fact,  80% of those surveyed in one poll admit that they feel stuck in their routine. The same habits that you undertake in your business that led you to prior success can also create a too-comfortable sense of security, as well as boredom and inertia.

Brian Buffini has nearly four decades of experience in the real estate industry. First as a successful agent and then as the founder and chairman of Buffini & Company, North America’s most successful coaching and training company. But even he admits he has moments when he feels like he’s in a cycle of negativity and is “complaining more than usual.”

When that happens, he tells himself the affirmation, “That’s just not like me.”

Buffini also shares this sage advice from Rick Warren, an American pastor and author:

“Remember how far you’ve come, not just how far you have to go. You are not where you want to be, but neither are you where you used to be.”

Take Your Good Habits and Make Them Great

Buffini recommends looking at your habits with a fresh and creative eye to regain your momentum.

“Take your good habits and make them awesome again!” he added.

Lean into your colleagues and peer groups (such as the Buffini Groups) to get new ideas for ways to connect with your clients and leads.

The tenets of working by referral rely on connecting with your database, he stressed. Later this year, there will be significant changes as to how homes will be bought and sold. That presents a great opportunity for real estate agents, Buffini said, to pick up the phone and call their clients. Hosting a client party or seminar is also a great way to get the message out and be seen as a trusted professional to homebuyers and sellers alike.

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone!

Often, real change comes when we have someone who we are accountable to. For real estate agents, working with a coach offers that as well as the chance to learn from an expert who has been through a myriad of industry changes already. The coach offers a steady, stable voice and guide to help lead you out of your rut and onto the path to greater success.

In addition, Buffini & Company’s Do It N.O.W. campaign will help you say no to chaos, own the listings and win market share. You’ll learn the exact steps — and receive full support every step of the way — to create a business that will thrive and be sustainable for the years to come.

So don’t wait — Do It N.O.W.! Call 800-945-3485 x2 and we’ll help you get started!
