When it comes to your real estate business, July is a great time to evaluate your overall strategy.

It’s also the perfect time to consider adding another key player to your team — a Buffini & Company real estate coach who has experience working with clients in all types of markets. Your coach will work with you to help you evaluate, pivot and create a clear-cut plan that will help you win the rest of 2023.

Here are four ways a coach can help position you for maximum success.

  1. Reflect on Your Progress So Far

Take some time to assess where you are in your real estate business right now. Ideally you should be tracking your stats weekly, reviewing them monthly and reprioritizing them quarterly. It’s also important to create and review a profit and loss statement. It’s truly the only effective way you will know how you are doing.

“Our feelings can lie to us, but the numbers don’t lie,” Brian Buffini, the founder and chairman of Buffini & Company notes.

Working with a coach offers perspective and accountability in this matter. They can also help you create easy-to-use systems to track your metrics with a real estate-based customer relationship management (CRM) system.

2. Review Your Goals

Your real estate business goals may or may not be the same as they were at the beginning of the year. Dave McGhee, Buffini & Company’s vice president of coaching, said that sometimes our real estate business goals are not compelling or motivating enough. Too often, it’s too easy to become complacent where we are instead of continuing to strive for higher achievements.

“Do you have a goal that’s really your goal or is it someone else’s goal?” McGhee said. “Is it something that scares you and excites you and pulls you forward?”

Buffini Coach James Bell agrees, noting that having the right mindset is “paramount.”

“You’re either fueling your future or staying parked in the past,” he said. “Decide where you want to head.”

Again, this is where a coach can add clarity and insight.

3. Prioritize and Delegate

When you are feeling overwhelmed it’s easy to get too “in the weeds”. Practice delegating busy work to your real estate team so you can keep your productivity and motivation high.

“Identify what is the highest and best use of your time, energy and focus. Remember, if everything is a priority then nothing is a priority,” Buffini Coach Eric Santos advises.

As the late entrepreneur Jim Rohm once said, “You don’t get paid for the hour; you get paid for the value you bring to the hour.”

As a real estate agent, lead generation is your top priority, Buffini stresses. Offering your clients consistent, relevant information through a variety of ways is key.

Utilizing a full-service marketing system, such as Referral Maker® PRO, assigning a task to someone in your real estate office or hiring a virtual assistant is an upfront financial commitment, but will pay off significant dividends in the end.

Your coach can help you create easy-to-follow clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) so that anyone can at any time pick up and know exactly how to perform a function or do a task. Creating these will help your business flow more smoothly.

4. Continue to Sharpen Your Tools

Consider signing up for a Buffini & Company real estate coaching program to give yourself the best advantage to succeed. This investment in yourself will be the best gift you can give yourself to have the business and life you want and deserve.
