Tip #3: Get Social with the Pros

By now you’ve changed the way you look at recruiting and have defined your brand. Today, we’ll help you expand your professional network so you can connect with other successful professionals in the industry.

Recruiting Tip #3: Network with the Pros

Real estate is a social profession and a critical part of success is networking with other professional, high-achievers. Successful people intentionally surround themselves with other like-minded individuals, so it makes sense to tap into your professional network when you’re recruiting for your brokerage.

Just as you encourage your agents to qualify their databases to ensure they’re spending time with the right clients, it’s important to qualify your network of professionals. Who are the most successful real estate professionals in your network and your area? Who exemplifies the values you want to include in your business?

After you have a list of names, give them a call. Introduce yourself and let them know you appreciate the high level of professionalism they offer to the industry. Ask if you can stay in touch with them to provide valuable updates and information on a regular basis. This is important to clarify because it prevents you from spending time and resources on someone who doesn’t wish to keep in touch. Remember, your goal is to provide value, not strong-arm them into joining your company. When you provide value, agents are more likely to refer another agent to you, because they appreciate your professionalism and effort.

Every time you connect with high quality, performing agents, you’ll  develop more meaningful relationships and provide a glimpse into how you run your business. Over time, they’ll experience how you operate and may be inspired to join your team and learn from you.
