Stay on Track to Reach Your Goals
Did you know the real estate market is expected to grow by about 10% next year? Catch all the groundbreaking insights of Brian Buffini’s Bold Predictions, 2025 Real Estate Market Outlook, now available on-demand. Watch now.
How close are you to achieving the goals you set in January? This time of year typically makes or breaks an agent. In fact, many agents give up on their goals when they discover that they’re not close to reaching them, figuring that they can always try again in a few short months when 2016 rolls around.
If this sounds like you, don’t give up. Instead, change your approach. Think of your goals as a three-strand cord; the three strands are your mindset, motivation and your methodologies. When these are strong, you’re able to achieve your goals, even when challenges arise.
Mindset is what you think and what you believe. You can’t change how you think but you can control what you think. And, what you think and believe will control your direction. Be sure to fill your mind with good stuff—positive and motiving books, magazines, media and the words of successful people.
Motivation includes your goals and your attitude. Your goals give you the motivation to keep going when it seems easier to quit. Your attitude gives you the energy to act on your motivation. Every day you choose your attitude—be sure to keep it positive!
Methodologies are the systems and routines you have in place to help you succeed. Here at Buffini & Company we have an acronym for System: Save Your Self Time Energy & Money. A system will help you stay on track and keep you accountable to your goals.
Your routines are your habits. So how do you start your day? If you begin your day in an exhausted haze and stumble through emails and the first few calls until you get your coffee, it might be time for a change. Start the day with an uplifting quote or chapter in an inspiring book instead. Or, maybe head to the gym to get energized and off to a great start. The good habits you develop will sustain you over the long term and help you achieve success.
Now is the time to put the habits in place to ensure a strong finish and set yourself up for a successful 2016.
Good luck and I hope to see you in Texas or Toronto for the final two legs of this year’s Success Tour!
