Brian Buffini, the chairman and founder of Buffini & Company, will offer his insights on what the future holds for the housing market — and what real estate agents and business owners need to do to succeed — with his Bold Predictions Mid-Year 2024: Real Estate Market Outlook broadcast. The free online event will be held on Monday, July 22 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET.

The Real State of the Market

Buffini will cut through the negative media headlines and share fact-based research and analysis regarding what is really happening in real estate now and what’s in store for the second half of 2024 and beyond.

He will discuss his thoughts on buyers and sellers alike who are now becoming immune to mortgage rates that are stubbornly hovering in the 7% range.

Buffini will also note the impact of the millennial cohort — approximately 72 million in the United States — on the future of real estate. The average age of a person leaving the family home is 26. The average age of a first-time homebuyer is 35. This combined group — approximately 45.5 million — is anxiously waiting on the sidelines ready to jump into the market once rates start consistently dropping, Buffini said. Adding to this pressure, he noted, is that average rents in many parts of the country are still so high.

A Discussion with NAR’s Katie Johnson

Katie Johnson will provide insights gleaned from her perspective as the chief legal officer and chief member experience officer for the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). Johnson will share the latest updates on the new rules of real estate now in place after the landmark NAR settlement earlier this year. She will discuss with Buffini what real estate professionals need to know regarding agent compensation and the importance of having clients sign written representation agreements.

An Introduction to the Certified Full-Service Professional program

Those who watch this broadcast will be among the first to learn about Buffini’s brand-new Certified Full-Service Professional program.
