After the challenges of the past year, many people are ready for a change in one or more areas of their life. A powerful way to achieve this change is by following a 100-days program. 100 is a magical number in many ways: the timeframe is long enough to help you get results, but it’s also short enough that you will persevere and tough it out. Even better, the 100-day technique works in every area of life from business and finance to relationships and physical, mental and spiritual health.  Here are some steps you can take to change your life in just 100 days:

Set Short-Term Goals

There are ten ten-day goals in 100 days. Short-term goals like this are incredibly powerful because they force you to keep your eyes on very specific prizes. To begin, tick off a simple checklist of activities for ten days. Once that has been completed, start over with activities for the next ten days, and so on. By chipping away for ten days at a time like this, you will make huge progress as those short-term goals that you measure and track start delivering results for you. You can, as Jim Rohn said, “Make measurable progress in reasonable time.”

Pick the Area That Needs Most Attention

The most important thing in life is who you’re becoming, and you can make a catalyst for that transformation in just 100 days. Of course, not everything in your life will get changed in that period of time, but everything in your life can be changed because of it. To start, pick the area that needs the most attention, whether that’s your health, finances or even your relationships. Lean into a coach for help – a great coach can help facilitate and support you through the process.

Stick With It

To begin with, 100 days might feel like a long term as you face into it. But it’ll feel like a blink of an eye when you look back. As the old saying goes, “The days are long, but the years are short!” Remember that it’s absolutely possible to persevere with anything for 100 days – after all, one of these 100 days cycles could change your whole life.

If you make a decision today, the next 100 days can change your life, not just for 100 days, not just for this year, but for the rest of your life. Where do you want to be 100 days from now? To learn more, listen to the latest episode of “It’s a Good Life”.
