Each year, HousingWire Magazine recognizes top technology companies at the forefront of innovation in the housing industry – and this year, they named Buffini & Company as a 2017 HW Tech100™ award winner.

Though widely known as a “relationship marketing” company, Buffini & Company considers technology a critical tool for strengthening relationships and creating referral advocates. That’s why, nearly five years ago, we developed Referral Maker® CRM – a CRM designed by and for real estate professionals who work by referral.

For years leading up to the endeavor, we heard our clients complain that their CRM just wasn’t cutting it. They were using several tech programs, as well as analog tools, to organize their database, track activities and goals, send marketing materials and plan their businesses. As technology continued to evolve, it became increasingly clear that referral-based agents wanted to incorporate referral-based technology into their businesses.

We listened, and did what we do best: innovate. After all, our mission is to “impact and improve the lives of people;” what better way to serve than to create a tool to help our clients succeed at working by referral?

In 2013, after a few years of research and development, we launched Referral Maker CRM and the Referral Maker CRM app. Our clients loved it. Since then, we’ve continually improved it; making it even more functional for real estate pros and their teams.

One of the most popular requests we’ve had is to create a full Referral Maker CRM for Teams. Many of our clients are brokers and owners looking for real-time performance data on their teams and an overall impression of each team member’s productivity. So earlier this year, we launched a Teams version.

With this powerful data now at their fingertips, leaders have an accurate overview of their team and business’s progress toward achieving its annual goals. Leaders can pinpoint and nurture their high-producers while encouraging lower-producing agents to up their game. They can also view contacts and transactions and even assign leads to team members.

When we meet the needs of our clients, they’re better equipped to meet the needs of theirs. Making an investment in CRM technology and committing to improving it offers a way for us to serve our clients and give them the tools they need to lead successful referral businesses.
